About Us
Wyre Forest Gymnastic School was founded by Ann Combes in 1987 and is based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The club is affiliated to British Gymnastics and The West Midlands Amateur Gymnastics Association. The current Head Coaches are Louise Hodges and Jessica Matthews.
We are accredited with 'Gym Mark' meaning that British Gymnastics have deemed us a safe, effective and child friendly club.
Having been previously based at Holy Trinity School and Baxter College, we moved into our current facility on Lisle Avenue in October 2010. In 2012 we were awarded a Sport England Inspired Facilities Grant of £50,000 which we used to build an extension onto the gym. The new extension was built during 2012 and was officially opened in June 2013 by double Olympian Imogen Cairns and local MP Mark Garnier.
WFGS endeavours to be a fun and friendly place to enjoy gymnastics. We hope that our passion for the sport is evident as soon as you walk through the doors.
We offer classes for children and adults of all ages and abilities and firmly believe in giving everybody the chance to be a part of our club. Our pre school classes cater for age 3+ and in 2018, we started offering a class for adults.
